Happy Leap Day!

Okay, so we get the extra day...and man do I need it! Just popping in for a second to say hello to the blogging world. Painting away and pray I can get it all done today...my hands are starting to kill me. What happened to those young days when I could do stuff like this for days on end?????????????????

I forgot it was Tuesday today. How do you forget it is a certain day? It's not that it felt like some other day of the week, I just forgot it was Tuesday. I guess the yucky headache I got about mid-day didn't help. Oh well...maybe some scrappin tonight will make it all feel better. But I MUST get some packing done before I can play. I knew if I didn't post now I more than likely wouldn't be posting tonight.

So, I have been trying to figure out the best way to get all my stuff (digi that is) organized. I have tried keeping the kits together, going with designer and even just going with site name. None of it is working well for me. Before the external hard drive debacle I had it all organized by what it was (papers, ribbons, word art, etc). I have to admit I liked that best. But I also want to make sure to credit people correctly so I am not sure what to do now. Hmm...maybe that is why I have the headache. :)

MIL gets here tomorrow until Sunday so I may be MIA for a while. I will be painting, working in the yard, cleaning and who knows what else. So much to do in 5 days and I am praying I can get it all done. So why am I on the computer instead of working?????????????

Wow...what happened to another weekend? It was gone in the blink of an eye. Beautiful weekend though so I am not complaining. The weather was amazing and makes me remember why I love this time of year so much. Bad thing was I didn't get to get outside much as I was packing stuff. But that's okay...it will be well worth it if my house isn't on the market for months on end.

Not much scrapping happening for me last week. As a matter of fact, I have to get a challenge together for my playgroup today. I normally try to post it on Sunday nights but was so exhausted it didn't happen last night. So must do that first thing after the kiddos go to bed tonight.

Slowly making progress on moving things to storage. My MIL will be here on Wed to "help." We'll see. M has to go out of town on Wed for the day. Ugh! I hate when that happens. He has to have Thurs/Fri off though because we HAVE to get this done!!!!!! I am not letting it drag on and on forever. He started the bathroom tiling job how long ago now? The only thing he has left to do is a couple of trim pieces and why he can't find the few hours it takes for that is beyond me. I mean shoot, he watched TV the whole weekend can't he squeeze just a little time in there to finish that up? Would be oh so nice.

Ugh...guess I am grumpy this morning. I just am a wee frustrated that I get to do all this lovely stuff and hubby watches TV while "watching" the kiddos. Then he complains how he watched the boys all weekend so I could get stuff done. When half the time I am helping him with them anyway. It just really irks me. Why are men such a pain the...

Ooo...guess I will sign off now since I realized I am a wee bit grumpy. Will come back when I am in a better mood. Maybe the move stuff is starting to sink in...who knows.

Another week almost come and gone...

I really need to sit and download the gazillion pictures on both of my cameras. I have resorted to the point and shoot when the other is upstairs and no handy. So now I have 200+ on that one and I am sure much the same on the other. How can I take that many photos in just a few days? I guess I just love my boys!

Rough night with Noah, he was up twice and both times I had to hold him and he just wouldn't go back to sleep. Strange. Then Cameron woke up the second time and decided he wanted to stand in his crib and dance and talk away...at 2:30 in the morning. Okay, the dog felt left out so he woke me at 3:00 to go outside...to walk around the patio! Then hubby got up at 5:00 because he was going out of town. So, did I get any sleep last night? I think I am on adrenaline now...which probably isn't going to bode well for tomorrow night when I actually get to go and do something fun...like BUNCO!

So I don't think I ever got around to posting this layout. Noah had just learned to give hugs and he walked up and gave Cameron a big hug, it knocked him over! It was the cutest thing. What made me think about this today was Noah was sitting in his little chair today and Cameron came up and climbed up next to him. Noah leaned over and hugged Cameron (which looked like he was actually trying to strangle him more than hug him) and the both fell on the floor again. I just had to laugh, every time Noah gives Cameron a hug they end up on the floor!

The heat is on...

That is the thought that comes to mind right now. It is humid and yucky outside and it is February! But alas...I better enjoy this while I can because when I looked up what the weather was in Indy it was 10 degrees and felt like -8! Oh my...not sure I am ready for that kind of weather. Thankfully we will be moving in the Spring.

Yes, we finally got it all figured out and we will be moving to Indianapolis. Woo-hoo! I think it is starting to set in for me and I am starting to go in hyper-drive. I have done more in the last 24 hours than I have done in 2 weeks! I just can't motivate myself unless I have a deadline. Boy do I hate that about myself!

Oh well...kiddos are waking...more to come...

Monday, Monday...

Yuck, I am coming to hate Mondays and I am no longer in the work force. Why is it the weekend fly by and then everything is just crazy on Mondays? Are we just in such a stupor from the weekend or something? Who knows.

So I was playing with my camera last night (for the Project 365 and making me think outside my norm) and did this shot. I think it came out cool. I am going to do a layout with it. This is my guys favorite toy! We had to get 2 of them so they would stop fighting over them. They love to put stuff on the center gear and spin it. The book in the photo is another of their favorites, hence the reason they were together. So I am slowly starting to figure the camera out. Now I just have to get the manual settings down and woo-hoo, off I go!

How cool is that?

I was over at Bunny Cate's blog and came across her mentioning Project 365. So of course since I got the new camera for Christmas I was curious what it was all about. Sooooo...I think I am going to do it too. I practically take photos every day anyway but I think this will actually challenge me to take more than just photos of my kiddos. But I can't help taking their photos because they are just so gosh darn cute!

You know, I have used the word "challenge" a lot lately. I find myself thinking about work and my life now that I am a SAHM. I am sure everyone goes through this sort of thing at some point, but it has really been hitting me hard lately about being just a mom. I feel like I have no identity any longer. I am okay with just being a mom. It's the best job in the whole world but everyone else has a life and I feel like I have nothing to contribute anymore. Sounds strange saying this but I just can't explain it any better.

He's how old?

Okay, so is a 13 month old supposed to be able to get those socket covers out of the thing? I can't even get them out and my child can. Ugh! Now I have to find something to put in them that he can't remove. And I will be moving his crib this weekend. Lovely.

When the boys were just days old it looked like Cameron was helping Noah put his hat back on. I made M grab the camera and I am so glad I did. This is just a priceless photo to me and always will be. And Sweet Digi Scraps "Handle with Care" kit was just the perfect thing to work with for these photos!

**Update: I went in while they were napping this afternoon and Cameron had gotten BOTH of the plug covered out! Thank goodness he didn't stick his fingers in there. Needless to say his crib has been pulled away from the wall and will be getting moved tomorrow...

Okay, so what happened to Wednesday? Hmm...not sure but I think I lost a day somewhere. Ha!
I have been a busy scrappin' gal the last day. I got a thank you finished I was doing for the gal I did the train invitation for in January. One check. Finished my layout over at JFTSOI for the final round of the CT Challenge (biting my nails until next week). Two checks. And I did a layout for the challenge I host for my playgroup. Three checks today! Woo-hoo...happy dance. Creative day. :)

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, all I am going to say is will it ever end? It just continues to drag on and on. Okay, had to whine. Hubby is out of town and the boys didn't nap well. Now hubby is on the phone going on and on about how he doesn't think the move is the right thing, maybe he needs to focus on what he has here, yada, yada, yada. And you couldn't come to this conclusion a year ago when all of this started????????? ARG! Men, can't live with them, can't shoot them. ;)

My quick page I did for a challenge at Go Digital Scrapbooking. Just playing around to try and get my mind off things for a while. I'm probably going to change out the picture but I am still working on sorting through all of those at the moment from the recovered ones. I need to also do one of Cameron too. This was just the first shot I came across that the colors were what I was looking for. Silly me, eh?

Monday again already?

Noah got 2 more teeth this weekend. Explains him waking up at 12:30 am and just wanting to be rocked. The next morning at breakfast we noticed they had finally come through. So now the guys both have 6 teeth! I can't believe it. I guess before too long they will start getting their back teeth...that should be fun.

The weeks are flying by. So much to do and all I want to do is get online and scrap. This is way too addictive. Had to work on some announcements and a thank you for some people this weekend so not a whole lot of scrapping but will get some done this week for sure. It really helps being involved in challenges and such for me. I get excited and just start creating pages. I'm about to have to pack up all my paper stuff and put it in storage for the move but thankfully I discovered digital! I wonder if I will go back to paper with everything being in storage for as many months as it is going to be. Hmm...maybe M was right...maybe I should start looking for new homes for my paper stuff. Still not ready to though yet...

Tonight is scrapbooking night for me. Yippee! Woo-hoo! Doing a happy dance over here. :) Once a month I host a scrapbooking night in my neighborhood center and it has turned out most of my gals from my playgroup are the ones that come. Funny...but I am glad. They chat and we have fun and I actually end up getting stuff accomplished. Good night all the way around in my book. And I am in desperate need a break right now. The boys have been sick for over a week now and they have been so cranky the last 2 days. Man will I be glad when they are back to their happy selves. :)

Latest layout...

This was my entry for week 3 of the CT Challenge over at JFTSOI. Hopefully it will get me on to the next and final round. I am excited and nervous. Last week I was so afraid I wasn't going to make it through. Had a rough week all the way around and my layout wasn't what it usually would have been. But I got to breathe a sigh of relief at midnight when they announced who would be going on. Can you believe I stayed up chatting with the other gals to get the results? Am I addicted or what?

I will say the kit was amazing this week. I couldn't believe how big it was. So much to choose from it was hard to make a decision. I fiddled with this for 3 days before I finally just said forget it...have to get it done and posted before the deadline. He, he...

Still nothing on the move. Dragging, dragging, dragging on!

And the hits just keep coming...

This whole move thing is going to be the death of me. We still don't have the details worked out nor have we signed the contract yet about this move. Now it looks like I will be packing everything. M says "we" but I know that means me for the most part. Ha! It will all work out I know but man is this so old!!!!!!!

Cameron letting go...

My boys are trying really hard to walk. I am SO not ready. But in several ways I do want them to. It is exciting to watch them and try to help them walk on their own. They will walk holding one little finger of mine...I guess it's a confidence thing. Here is the layout I did for the challenge this week...all about my little Cameron letting go.

Busy, busy week...

Man, it's Saturday already! What happened to the week? It has been a busy, exciting and nerve raking week.

The post below is a sketch I am using for a challenge I am hosting for my playgroup. I am hosting a new challenge each week to get some of us scrappers motivated to get busy. Each month I host a group here at our community center and each time I hear someone (usually several) comment how they need to do this sort of thing more often. I am also guilty if just putting it off and thought if I challenged myself to do one layout a week that would be at least 52 layouts for the year! And what better way to stick to it than to have others holding you accountable? The only hitch has been that my external hard drive crashed the day I was starting this so it has gotten off to a rocky start for me in that I had it all on there and so had to start over these last 2 weeks.

We finally got the offer and relocation information for our move. Hubby is asking a few questions but I am 99% sure this will be happening. As a matter of fact I am spending my weekend packing up some things and renting a storage unit. See, can't you see me busily packing away. I needed the break...my head is going to explode from thinking about it all.

Week 2 of the CT Challenge at Just for the Scrap if It was fun. The week got away from me before I knew it and I had to finish my layout late last night and then couldn't get it to upload. Silly me didn't resize it. Knew it had to be something I was doing. But with all my computer troubles the last 2 weeks I wouldn't have been surprised if it was the computer freaking out on me...it has been running non-stop for a week now.

Okay, now to get motivated, pack a few boxes and get to the storage place to get that started. Must...stay...motivated! Hope everyone is having a great weekend and is having as beautiful of weather as we are here...
