Haven't scrapped in what feels like ages. Noah is having some sleeping troubles so we are in week 3 of that. Crazy. He won't nap. When he does nap he won't sleep at night. So I have to figure out what that balance is. Hoping with all the summer fun outside he will just be exhausted and not fight it any longer. Last night he laid in bed a while and said "no sleep" over and over again. I finally just brought him to our room, put him in the pack-n-play and went to sleep myself. Who knows what time he actually fell asleep. I got up at 2:00 am and put him back in his bed. Whew.
Today was our last day of "school." I am actually looking forward to being able to get out and do more things with other people. The boys need to make some real friends now and I need to be around other moms again. I feel like I have been held up in the house all winter or doing very little with other people. About time to change that!
Surgery is scheduled for May 29th. So glad to have a date and that it isn't too far away.

Next week for surgery? Is it an outpatient one? Alison had night terrors when she was younger and it was terrifying. Sleep troubles go away--but it takes time. Hopefully not LONG.
I know a lot of people who have gone through this with their little ones. For many, the solution was waking them from their naps after 1 hour. They still needed the rest but if they got too much it interfered with bedtime. My kids, at some point, did better if I just told them to rest. For some reason, they would drift off to sleep if they did not think they had to. If I said that they must go to sleep, they would fight it.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hope all goes well next Friday, and you have a speedy recovery.
Best of luck with your surgery. You know what happened to my lump? Apparently it was a fluid-filled cyst, which they said probably "popped" when I had the mammogram... I know, TMI, right?
I am very familiar with sleep deprivation. I'm glad that part of child rearing is over! It will definitely pass.
