Being a singer I am never one to judge until I actually hear someone sing. And even then I hate to judge but it is just in every fiber of my being to critique other singers, whether it be good or bad. I was blown away when I say this today.
I cried. It was beautiful and astounding and happens to be one of my absolute favorite songs. Les Miserable was the very first real Broadway show I ever saw. I was 17 and it captured my heart forever. And brava to this wonderful and amazing lady for living her dream!

I received that same link as a forward a few days ago, with a prestory about how the gal had been born with brain damage due to oxygen deprivation, and that she'd been teased unmercifully in school, and this was her Hurrah! to those mean kids back at home. Her Mom had told her for years that she had the talent to be a professional, and her mom wanted her to try out for the show, then she just passed away recently, so Susan decided to go on the show for her Mom. Just hearing her and knowing that got me to crying before she finished her first sentence.
They found an audio of her singing "Cry Me a River" and posted it on YouTube. It's incredibly awesome.
It's an amazing story. I love the good feelings it gives me to watch her and listen to her.
This has been sweeping the internet and it was even on our local news a couple nights ago. Doesn't it just give you chills?
I am sitting her sobbing again! I LOVE her voice and would buy a record from her anyday! Thanks for posting that Lee Anne! :)
I saw her on the Today Show last week and was just amazed. And girl...Les Mis was my very first Broadway show, too, and I swear I almost peed my pants!!!! LOVE it! :)
