Can't it be Saturday night?

Still amazed how fast the weekend went. I swear I just woke up and it was Saturday morning and now it is already Sunday night. Sigh. Wow...felt like I just played with the boys all weekend and that was it. Not a bad thing to do but still...didn't get much done. Although...today we did get the boys a little something. I'll have to share once I download the photos. ;)

Got a page scrapped while the boys were napping today. I have had such a hard time scrapping any of the major moments in their lives. Strange I know, but the every day moments seem to be so much easier for me to do. Maybe it's because I am too much of a perfectionist or something. Oh well. I came across this template at Racketty Scrappety and it all just came together. Very cool indeed!

It's time for me to find the boys some real winter gear. I am tempted to order it from LL Bean but not sure what sizes to order. Do I just order what size they actually wear or a size up so their sweater and stuff will fit in it as well? I may just call and ask about this as I have no clue! I also have to get myself a new coat and some warm clothes. Ugh...why is it I hate to shop when it comes to stuff like this?

What a nice weekend...

Still hard for me to believe it is Sunday night but we had such a nice weekend. It felt "normal" for a change. Oh my...haven't had one of those in months and months! We went to the zoo Saturday morning and the boys really seemed to enjoy it. The cool thing about the zoo here is it isn't that big. You can do the whole thing in just a couple of hours if you are just kind of looking and not stopping too very much. The boys were so tuckered they fell asleep in the car almost immediately after we left! I'll share some photos later from our adventure.

My friend Mel of MCA Designs is opening her own store! I love her designs and have used them for a lot of things so far with many more projects in mind. Go over and check out what she has cooking up...you won't be disappointed (like 25 cent items;)!!!!

And of course you can't have a grand opening without a fabulous freebie! So go here and pick up these adorable felt leaves...in the perfect fall colors for the upcoming weather!

So it started out innocently enough. I have decided it is time to just let them boys learn to eat with utensils. They will mind you...just find it faster to use their hands. We have yet to do a "soupy" type item and after seeing my friend Cathy's layout of her cutie feeding herself two fisted I had to give it a go. They had a ball...I had to try and keep myself from laughing in front of them so as not to encourage them to do silly things. It was too funny!

You just gotta love 'em!

My guys continue to make me laugh all the time. I shouldn't have laughed at Cameron but they were both running back and forth from the living room to the kitchen and I just knew they were going to run into each other. They had a few near missed but Cameron had stopped to check out the dog near the baby gate and then smacked right into the cabinet when he turned around to run again. I know, bad mommy. He didn't get hurt, just his pride. He looked at me, cried for 2 seconds and started running and laughing again. I guess that is more what made me laugh.

And Noah. Sweet, adorable Noah. He is such a character sometimes. He knows how to work the system already. And oh my if he does not get his own way. Hmm...wonder where he gets that from. He did something new today (well, guess I should say yesterday) and for the life of me I can't recall what it was. Too tired I guess and should get myself into bed.

But before I go...Zan made this really cool kit for all of you out there. She is one talented gal! And busy too. I am amazed she has four little ones and home schools...so impressive to me. So go and check it out HERE today only.

Friday freebie a little early

One of my poor babies was sick today. I am really hoping it was just from the shots yesterday. Although they have never gotten sick like this before. They have been a little cranky but never actually sick to the point of throwing up. Poor little guy! He was playing and such today, just not as happy as usual. So we passed on the fun splash pad adventure we had planned for this afternoon. Bummer.

I did get this great little layout done of a friend of mines little girl. This is actually a photo from New Year's Day that I had been wanting to do something with. I used Amy Sumrall's Sumeroo (which is going to be released soon) for this one. I am really digging that kit. Has lots of fun goodies and I love the colors! The glitter overlay is Flergs.

And of course I have to do a freebie for Friday (I know it's Thursday night but it will be Friday in 45 more minutes and busy day tomorrow). MCA Designs has these really cool overlays in her current grab bag and I couldn't resist making these papers with them. I fell in love with experimenting with textures and the overlays. It was a great way to learn some blending techniques. So I used MCA Designs Grab Gab #4 and also some items (textures mainly) from her 2nd and 3rd Grab Bags as well which are now for sale in the store. Enjoy! And as always would love to see what you make with them if you. Grab them here.

Hope you all have a great weekend...I'll be dreaming of next weekend when we finally make the move into a house again! And I'll also be swinging by to check on the progress of it so will snap some more pictures to share.

Well checks

We took the boys for their 18 month check up today (2 weeks late). I can't believe how big they are getting! Cameron was 25 lbs. 8 oz. and 33.5 inches. Noah was 23 lbs. 4 oz. and 33 inches. And just as cute as can be! Only 2 shots today. We are waiting on their last few until their 2 year check up. I just couldn't give them 5 shots today!

I liked the new pediatrician. He was nice and gave me some great advice for dealing with discipline, etc. The only real problems we are having with the boys is biting and screeching. I would like to put an end to the biting the most because once we start back to classes and they start Mother's Day Out I will worry about them biting another child...or the teacher! So far it has only been myself, M or each other. But they do well with positive reinforcement and his plan uses just that. Very happy to hear that one!

Didn't get to work on much today with regards to scrapping. We had a busy, busy day. And tomorrow will be much the same. However, I am finishing up a freebie for Friday. You can however get this great freebie here on Thursday, July 17th only. Very, very cute brag book pages from MLucas. They are just too adorable!

And you can also save 25% off the kit from MCA Designs used to make these great pages HERE. I just love this series of kits. They are so versatile and I have seen so many different things done with them. Love the circles and those are awesome stacked or used around photos. So go, have fun playing!

It's her birthday and a Freebie

And she isn't crying, she is having a fabulous sale!

Mel of MCA Designs is celebrating her birthday with a brand new Commercial Use kit, and she has put it on sale. You can purchase "3 Ways to Use Overlays" at the sale price of just $10 during her birthday week only. On July 1st, it will go to its regular price of $14.95. This kit contains an overload of 100 Commercial Use Overlays along with a Tutorial, "3 Ways to Use Overlays" created with designers of all skill levels in mind. The tutorial was written for Photoshop CS/2/3, and adapted by me for Photoshop Elements. It has been published as a Microsoft Word document and an Adobe PDF. Even if you use another program to design, the kit is still a bargain at this price. Credit is not required but is appreciated.

And to show how fabulous these are I made a few little goodies myself. My first freebie! You can download them here and here.

Scrappin the day away...

Well, not really but a gal can dream. :) I did get a page done. I was surprised yet again how quickly it came together. I always love those sorts of layouts. Noah has decided he likes to sit in the toy bin. I thought it was the funniest thing the other day. Cameron did it as well the next day, have to download those photos and get them scrapped for his book too. I did this page with MCA Design's A Fish Tale. Font was Manga Speak.

The other fun thing I did today was make some papers with MCA Design's new overlays. She will be releasing these tomorrow (on her birthday). There are 100 overlays! I don't think you will ever need to buy another, she has covered all the bases with these and I can't stop playing with them. I had the honor of testing these out for her on PSE6 so got to sneak a peek before they were released. Boy was I a lucky girl. So you'll have to come back tomorrow for the goodies I created and then head over to My Scrap Shop and pick them up.

Family

Sitting here trying very hard not to stress about the house thing. The boys are waking from their nap and I am going to feed them and then get us and the dog out of the house so they hopefully come and do the inspection. They have thrown at us that they want a contingency. I have faith it will all work out but I am having a bad feeling this is going to fall through. I am hoping it is just me being paranoid. I guess the feeling started when I was told yes they were pre-approved and then later found out they are just "in the process" of being pre-approved. Sigh. I know it will work out...trying to just keep the faith and hang in there. Selling a house is stressful!

So I did this page because I loved the colors in this with this kit. I know, not traditional but I tend to be on the crazy side when putting colors together and they usually seem to work for some strange reason. I just think the green in the paper really brings out the colors and the little bit of green in the photo. Credits are Conrad by MSC Designs and Sir Scrapalot over at My Scrap Shop.

Now about the photo. I guess the journaling says it all. I was really surprised at how well this photo came out. I guess I need to broaden my thinking on what good photos are for me. I can look at other people's photography and think it is so beautiful but tend to be very critical when it comes to photos I take or photos with me in them. Ugh...have to get better at that!
